Since Jim and Janice Preston established their family business in 1989, they have strived to produce only the best quality Scottish beef, pork and lamb. The end result is an impressive selection of award winning products, made on the premises, to their own recipe. The product range is constantly expanding, with new meat products and recipes to delight their customers.
Prestons also supply some of the best restaurants in the town and surrounding area, run by some of the top chefs in Scotland. These include the Steayban Restaurant, Rissons of Strathaven, Shawlands Park Hotel and Maidenburn Restaurant at Strathaven Golf Club.
They also supply some local tearooms and cafes, who insist on purchasing only premium quality meats for their menus. Prestons buy only from reputable suppliers who source top quality beef, pork and lamb from local farms in the areas surrounding Strathaven.
Strathaven is a very close rural community and the population have supported Preston’s for the last 20 years. Prestons pride themselves in providing a friendly environment for their customers - many of whom are on first name terms with their staff. The welcoming shop attracts customers from the surrounding areas of Stonehouse, Larkhall, East Kilbride and Hamilton.
